I am attending the retrial of Cameron Brown, accused of throwing his daughter off of 120 ft. cliff, Inspiration Point in Ranch Palos Verdes, California on November 3rd, 2000.  I am writing about the story on my blog, Trials & Tribulations:

Brown was originally tried in a Torrance, California courthouse in the late summer of 2006.  The jury hung; they could not agree on what charge to convict Brown.

In the first trial, 2 jurors voted first degree, 8 jurors voted second degree, and 2 jurors voted for manslaughter.
