Cold Case Heats Up after 20 years.

A billboard and media coverage of an unsolved double murder from 1988 had yielded dozens of leads and "valuable new information," but investigators have no timeline for making arrests in the case.

Capt. Dave Adams of the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department said Friday that 40 people have called with information on the murders of Eddie and Frances Cizauskas since the reopened investigation was publicized late last month. Those tips have led to more than 60 interviews, with most witnesses supporting what investigators already believed, Adams said.

"It has reinforced even more who the people are who are responsible for the murders of Ed and Frances," Adams said. "What we are striving for is evidence that shows guilt beyond reasonable doubt.

Adams has said detectives know who killed the couple and are working to solidify the case before turning it over to prosecutors. The sheriff's department reopened the Cizauskas murders three years ago, and the two detectives assigned to it have worked on the case nearly full time over the last three weeks, Adams said.

There's something afoot in Vancouver

A 4th severed human foot has been discovered washed ashore on Canada's Pacific coast.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have not said if the latest discovery was a right or left foot.

The previous cases all involved right feet still in sneakers, and each was found on a different island.

The foot, still wearing a shoe, was discovered on Thursday on a small uninhabited island south of Vancouver in the Strait of Georgia, and is the fourth discovered in the region in the past 10 months.

But police are no closer to solving the gruesome mystery.

DNA testing has failed to link the earlier discoveries to any missing person cases.

Woman, 4 Children Found Dead in Iowa City Home

Police said a van involved in a fiery, fatal crash Monday morning belonged to a man who was being sought in connection with the killings of his wife and four children.

Iowa City police said the van was owned by Steven Sueppel, who was being sought after the five bodies were found in his home at 629 Barrington Road.

Sgt. Troy Kelsay wouldn't release the names of the victims, but he confirmed they were Sueppel's wife and children, ages 3, 5, 7 and 10.

The matter began when dispatchers received a call at 6:31 a.m. saying officers needed to respond to the Barrington Road home immediately. The caller then hung up.

Update...It appears the husband had done this and then committed suicide.

Family of strangled woman pleads for help

The family of a woman who was found dead Wednesday in Federal Way is pleading with the public to help find the killer who beat and strangled her to death, then stuffed her body in the trunk of her car.

"No words can explain the sorrow, and unceasing agony at the death of our beloved wife, mother, grand mother, great-grandmother and friend," the family said in a written statement about the death of Jane Carol Britt, 75.

The Rev. Dr. Vic Hippe of the Community of Christ, St. Luke's, was asked to speak on the families behalf.

"Their plea is for people, if anyone knows anything that happened around Garden Terrace on the evening of the 18th, that they would share that, that would be very helpful," Rev. Hippe said.
